I had a recruiter reach out to me with a HireVue video interview, and honestly it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had in an interview process.

After about two months, I received an email about a hiring freeze, which explained why nothing progressed.

I didn’t expect much from the company at that point, but the timeline still felt frustrating because I was stuck in an awkward limbo.

No offer came out of it. My reflection was mostly that the HireVue format didn’t feel humane for me, and the hiring freeze made it feel even more pointless.
