Irvine, CAPosted Sep 2025 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I started with a short behavioral interview that was pretty relaxed—mostly easy questions—and it helped me get into the rhythm.

After that, I had an online coding assessment in Java.

The assessment itself was oddly hard compared to the vibe of the behavioral call. I remember one question that felt like it focused on Redux, which didn’t feel very practical for the kind of software engineering work I expected, and it threw me off because it didn’t match the mental model I had for a Java-focused interview.

I completed the assessment but didn’t move forward. What lingered was the mismatch between how chill the behavioral round was and how technical and oddly specific the Java take-home-style questions felt.
