ValueLabs Software Engineer interview experience

The first part of my interview process leaned on relevant questions, but the overall difficulty felt very high, especially when it came to the managerial side.

The higher management interview wasn’t very interactive, and it didn’t feel like they were trying to understand my practical experience or my ability to handle real scenarios.

Instead, it felt like the evaluation relied too much on theoretical knowledge, and I remember thinking that the process should have been more behavioral and hands-on. That mismatch made it harder to show how I actually work.

I didn’t get an offer. My reflection was that even with a strong technical base, if the top-stage interviewer isn’t engaging in a way that reveals practical thinking, it becomes an uphill battle.
