Valeo Software Engineer interview experience

I was asked things like how to avoid dangling pointers, and I had to explain the difference between a structure and a union.

Then it shifted into a behavioral scenario: I had to describe a time I had to make a decision without all the information I needed, how I handled it at Valeo, and whether I was happy with how it turned out. The difficulty felt manageable overall, but the mix of low-level C/C++ style questions and the decision-making question made it harder to rely on one single “lane” of preparation.
