I had two different panel interviews on Zoom, and they both felt fairly formal.

What surprised me was that they shared the interview questions only a few hours before each session, which made the structure feel scripted.

Across both panels, I got the sense the interviewers were instructed not to ask follow-up questions. I walked away knowing I hadn’t performed as strongly in the second interview, and I wasn’t really shocked when I didn’t get the role. It did bother me that weeks passed after I requested feedback and I never heard back.
