Philadelphia, PAPosted Jun 2019 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I had a single, straightforward interview with the PI on campus.

The conversation was very relaxed, and it only ran about 15 minutes. We basically chatted, and the overall vibe felt easy—more casual than formal.

After that short meeting, I waited about a week and then received the offer by email. The speed of it surprised me a little, but the process matched the tone of the interview: not heavy, not complicated, and not drawn out.

Looking back, it felt like they already knew what they wanted once I sat down with the PI. I didn’t spend my time decoding tricky signals; I just talked about my fit and the work, and the decision came quickly.
