My process started with a quick initial interview where they zeroed in on technical competencies and how I’d work independently when needed.

It felt pretty straightforward and focused, and I remember having to be concise about myself—there wasn’t much room for a long backstory. One thing that stood out was that they cared about having at least a year of paid research experience; anything unpaid didn’t seem to count on the recruiter’s side.

After that, the rest of the flow felt like it matched the same theme: research credibility and clarity. Overall it didn’t drag, and the tone stayed respectful and practical, like they were trying to quickly figure out whether I could operate in the lab without much handholding.
