They told me at the beginning that it would be more of a conversation, but once it got going, it clearly functioned as a real interview.

I wasn’t well prepared, and that mismatch hit me during the discussion—it felt like I was trying to respond without the depth they were expecting.

Afterwards, I realized I’d lost my chance and I took it as a signal to try again later. The experience itself wasn’t described as hostile, but I definitely felt unready once I was in the room and speaking.

I didn’t get an offer, and my reflection was blunt: I missed the opportunity because I didn’t show up prepared enough for what they actually wanted.
