University of Chicago Research Analyst interview experience

Before anything else, I was given a test that turned out to be much more time-intensive than the stated window—well beyond an eight-hour interval.

Because the assessment was so demanding, it colored how I thought about the job itself, even though I didn’t get an offer. I was left feeling uncertain about what the day-to-day workload would really be like given how intensive the screening task was.

Overall the difficulty felt difficult for that stage, and the take-home weight of it made the process feel less like a quick check and more like a substantial evaluation.
