For this interview, I was asked to give a fifteen-minute presentation on research of my choice.

After I finished, the panel asked a few technical questions, which kept the focus squarely on the substance of what I’d been talking about.

The final part surprised me in a good way because it shifted away from research depth and into teaching and broader responsibility topics. I was asked about teaching and also about diversity and inclusion, and it made the interview feel more rounded than a typical research-only discussion. Overall, it was an easy-flowing session for me, and I felt like I could speak comfortably across both the technical and the people-facing parts.
