My process started with an initial screening call with HR, and after that I moved into the technical part.

Because of COVID, the interviews were run over Microsoft Teams, but it still felt very focused on the role’s core content.

The technical interview itself was with two academics and lasted about an hour. They asked me about topics tied directly to the role description and pushed into the kind of technical reasoning they cared about. It didn’t feel like small talk—more like a structured discussion meant to test whether I could handle the work they had in mind.

Overall it felt challenging but fair, and by the way the questions landed I could tell they were taking the role requirements
