Cambridge, Gloucestershire, South West England, EnglandPosted Jun 2012 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My process started with a phone interview and then escalated into an in-person stage where I had to present and talk face-to-face.

After the phone screen, I was flown in to interview, and the university handled the logistics—my flight and accommodation were arranged for me during my stay.

Once I arrived, the format combined a presentation with an in-person interview. Even though it took more effort than an entirely local process, it felt well-supported because I wasn’t left to manage the travel side.

I didn’t end up with an offer, but the experience felt more serious and structured than a quick screening, especially because I had to do both a presentation and an in-person conversation after the initial call.
