Tucson, AZPosted Jun 2023 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My first real step was a Zoom conversation with leadership in the lab.

I spent about an hour discussing my experience and how it connected to the responsibilities of the position, and the atmosphere stayed fairly professional and grounded in specifics. We talked through the kinds of projects the role supports and what the day-to-day expectations looked like.

The questions leaned into my knowledge and previous work, but they also reached outward into how I’d handle working with others. I covered my background in research, including experience working with participants and supervising other members, and then I had space for my own questions about the project.
