The UKG process I experienced leaned heavily on Java fundamentals and DSA basics.

The earlier rounds felt easy and based on common knowledge, but I noticed they still expected a solid grasp of OOP—things like inheritance—plus recursion, edge cases, and general DSA patterns.

Across the stages, the emphasis was pretty consistent: don’t just memorize syntax, be comfortable reasoning through classic Java and algorithmic concepts.

I didn’t get an offer. My main reflection was that the interview difficulty didn’t come from trick questions so much as from requiring everything to be internally consistent—if I stumbled on Java/OOP or core DSA basics, it showed quickly.
