My interview started with a 45-minute chat with a recruiter.

They asked behavioral questions tied to my resume, but the tone was friendly and direct, and they gave me space to think without feeling rushed.

They also invited me to ask anything I wanted about the company, and they answered my questions directly. It felt like a screening conversation focused on understanding my background and fit rather than trying to corner me technically. The difficulty was easy, and while I didn’t end up getting an offer, the recruiter call itself left me feeling comfortable with how they were approaching the process.
