Uber Software Engineer interview experience

The first question was about recursion-based string manipulation, and after I reached an initial solution, they followed up with additional extension questions.

The second round was a tree-focused problem, and it again included follow-up questions that went beyond the baseline approach. That format threw me a bit because it meant the interview didn’t stop when the first solution was done—they kept testing whether I could adapt.

In the end, I didn’t receive an offer, and the extensions were the part I felt most strained by.
