Uber Software Engineer interview experience

No offer

Posted May 2026 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I went through Uber for a software development engineer role and reached the final round, but I didn’t end up getting an offer.

Looking back, the whole journey was part learning, part frustration, and a lot of rejection across the broader job market—not just Uber.

The process stretched over months, and my last stage was the final conversation with a hiring manager-type step. I remember reflecting that the bar felt especially tough during that period.

In the end, it was another rejection, but the experience still helped me understand what the “final round” really demands compared to earlier stages.
