San Francisco, CAPosted Mar 2026 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My Uber interview process felt straightforward in terms of sequencing.

It started with a recruiter phone screening where I talked through my background. Then I had a technical coding interview with two developers, followed by another deeper coding interview with a manager.

The coding conversations were the core of the loop, and the manager round made it feel more evaluative and nuanced compared to the earlier developer discussion. Even though I didn’t get to system design in the details I shared, the progression—from recruiter context to peer coding to managerial coding—made the intent pretty clear.

I ended up not receiving an offer from that set of rounds.
