Uber Software Engineer interview experience

I went through interviews that combined practical algorithm work with discussions that required me to explain my reasoning out loud.

The overall theme was that preparation in data structures and algorithms mattered a lot. The process didn’t emphasize a single narrow topic; instead, it kept returning to core problem solving and how I articulated the thinking process.

I left without an offer, but the experience was coherent in the sense that it felt like they were testing fundamentals rather than trying to trick me with unrelated material.
