Boston, MAPosted Mar 2026 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

After a recruiter screen, I was told I’d be speaking with the hiring manager plus another senior product ops person.

Those two interviews were back to back for about half an hour each. The way they framed it, they were trying to understand how I’d think through daily ops challenges Uber faces and how I’d solve the kinds of problems that come up in the marketplace.

Even though the structure was straightforward, I remember feeling like the conversation needed to be tight and practical—less about abstract theory and more about how I’d approach real constraints. By the time I got through the second conversation, I’d answered a bunch of scenario-style questions and tried to show a clear problem-solving process.
