Uber Software Engineer interview experience

On the coding side, I was asked to build an API for scheduling meetings across a predefined set of conference rooms, with a method like scheduleMeeting(startTime, endTime) that would return an available room and reserve it, or throw an error if nothing was free.

After that, I got a design question centered on how a system behaves when multiple nodes are involved. I talked through the expected behavior and how the system would handle coordination across nodes, focusing on correctness and how state would be managed.

The questions were very concrete and grounded in real scenarios, which made
