I interviewed for a Software Engineer role at Twitch and, although the coding phone interviews went well, the process ended with a rejection after a long wait.

Recruiter/HR + phone screens — I completed two phone interviews where my coding performance was strong.
Follow-up delay and decision — I waited about two months and had to send multiple emails to get an answer; I was ultimately told my interests in a functional programming track didn’t match what they did. Outcome: I didn’t receive an offer; my takeaway was that sometimes the decision comes down to team/interest fit rather than just technical ability.
