San Francisco, CAPosted Mar 2016 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for a Software Engineer role at Twitch and the experience was noticeably rougher than average, with repetitive or poorly handled interviews that didn’t feel supportive.

Phone screen — I went through an initial call, but in at least one case the recruiter/role alignment didn’t stick.
Onsite (multiple 1:1 rounds) — I had several in-person interviews where interviewers seemed disengaged, repeated the same questions, or were otherwise not actively managing the process.
Communication/structure issues — I felt the flow suffered because interviews weren’t deep or guided well enough, and at times even the interviewers’ attention suggested the process wasn’t being handled carefully. Outcome: I didn’t move forward; my takeaway was that interview
