San Jose, CAPosted Jan 2021 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for Software Engineer at Twitch with a small set of rounds, but the hiring-manager style felt dismissive and I didn’t move forward.

Recruiter coordination — I was told there would be five rounds, with one technical round.
Hiring manager / technical interaction — The technical round didn’t feel difficult, but the hiring manager appeared disengaged throughout (which made it feel unlikely to succeed). Outcome: No offer; the takeaway was that even an easy-seeming technical round can’t compensate for low engagement from the hiring manager.
