I met with a director who came across as genuinely nice, and the atmosphere was pretty good.

The tone wasn’t overly intense, and the conversation felt aimed at helping me understand the company and the department more clearly rather than trying to intimidate me.

What I noticed most was that it seemed friendly and informative, especially in how it fit the mindset of a newer applicant. I left feeling like I’d gained context about what the team actually did and how it viewed the role, even though I didn’t end up with an offer.
