My interview started with a few minutes of introducing myself, and I was able to show a PPT or describe things in words.

After that, the interviewer introduced the department and then asked questions about my master’s thesis.

The technical side centered on semiconductor physics topics, and I remember being asked specifically about aspects of physics of semiconductors. The whole experience felt like a direct conversation between my thesis background and the foundational concepts they cared about. It didn’t end in an offer, but it did feel coherent in terms of what they evaluated.
