I interviewed with two managers, and it started in a straightforward way: introductions first, then discussion of my past project experience.

I also learned about the roles from different teams within the department, which helped me understand where my background might fit.

The process continued into what was described as the final round with the head of the department. That last conversation felt like it had more weight, since it was focused on my experience and how I thought about the work the department was doing. Overall it felt like a serious but manageable evaluation, and I got a clearer picture of the organization as the conversations went on.
