Truist Financial Analyst interview experience

I was asked to walk through how financial statements work together at a high level, including the idea of what costs more debt versus equity. They also probed my understanding of accretive versus dilutive transactions and what the difference means conceptually.

Beyond the statement discussion, the questions challenged me on products—what types of products a company offers and why they’re used. It wasn’t just vocabulary for me; it felt like they wanted real clarity and comfort with finance language. The interview was difficult for me, and it didn’t end in an offer.
