Trend Micro Inc. Account Executive interview experience

They tried to sell me on what was essentially a cold-acquisition role, but positioned it as something like customer care or customer management. It was hard to stay neutral because the mismatch was clear almost immediately.

When I pushed back and asked for clarification, the story shifted. The “customers” turned out to be contacts that were purchased through address agencies, not people the company was building real relationships with. The whole thing left me feeling like the role had been misrepresented from the start, and I didn’t like how early the disconnect showed up.
