Trend Micro Inc. Software Engineer interview experience

After that, I had a second interview focused on system design. The way it was described suggested there might be multiple teams involved, or it could have been only the hiring manager, but the key pieces were consistent: coding first, then an introduction, and then system design.

It felt like a fairly standard progression where the later round tested my ability to think at architecture level rather than focusing only on coding.

I didn’t receive an offer, but the structure of the rounds gave me a clear sense of what they were evaluating at each step.
