Trend Micro Inc. Cloud Engineer interview experience

During the conversations, they dug into my thinking style and the values behind my choices, and they repeatedly asked why I wanted to apply to Trend Micro. It wasn’t framed like a deep dive into specific engineering tasks; it felt more like an evaluation of how I approach problems and why this role made sense to me.

After discussing everything they’d learned, they came to a decision. I didn’t get an offer, and the overall experience left me with the sense that the outcome was driven as much by their overall impression of my mindset and alignment as by any particular technical proof.
