Trend Micro Inc. Software Engineer interview experience

The coding part was straightforward: a Java test that felt easy, followed by questions that were more grounded in the company’s domain, including cybersecurity topics. I also spent time expanding on my resume projects.

What stood out was the way the conversation framed the role as something you could learn on the job. I got the sense it was a learning-focused environment where they didn’t demand I already know everything upfront, but they did expect me to pick up new technologies quickly.

I wasn’t ultimately successful in getting an offer, but the interview itself didn’t feel like a gotcha.
