Toast Software Engineer interview experience

I was told they sometimes do this—push candidates through the first screening so they can quickly jump them to later rounds when roles open up.

When I reached back out later after I saw new open roles, I got ghosted. The lack of follow-through turned the whole experience into a wait with no real progress.

I didn’t receive an offer, and what stood out was how quickly the conversation faded even after it had been set up like a future opportunity.
