My Business Analyst interview was built around technical analysis plus real business reasoning.

The process had four rounds, with most of the questions focused on SQL, Python, and business intelligence tools like Tableau and Power BI. There was also an estimation/guessing style question to test problem-solving and analytical thinking.

Each round felt like it evaluated a different slice of how I’d work in practice: database management and querying, scripting/logical reasoning, and how I’d visualize or explain data using BI tools. They didn’t want me to talk only in theory—they asked for an approach that handled ambiguity like it would in a real workflow.

Overall it felt average
