San Francisco, CAPosted Jul 2018 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My process started with a recruiter call, then I moved into what felt like a fairly intense onsite sequence—four technical rounds.

The recruiter setup was fine, and most of the people I met were nice, but the hiring manager experience was rough in a way that stuck with me.

During the coding portion, the hiring manager was rude and came across as arrogant, and it directly affected how I could work through the problem. I wasn’t given enough time to finish the coding task properly and I felt rushed the whole time. Because the interviewer wouldn’t let me complete the code and kept pushing me on timing, I ended up missing requirements or clarifications I otherwise would’ve asked for if I’d had a sane amount of time.
