I went through a panel interview with multiple faculty members from the department.

Since I’d prepared ahead of time, I felt comfortable talking through my skills and what I wanted from the program.

The format was mostly conversational, and I ended up discussing different projects I’d worked on rather than answering isolated questions. That made it feel more like an ongoing dialogue than a rigid checklist.

The difficulty was average, but the preparation paid off because I wasn’t scrambling for structure. It felt like they were getting a full picture of my background through conversation.
