Palo Alto, CAPosted Sep 2025 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for a CFD position, but the questions ended up centering much more on electrical engineering.

The CFD side that did appear focused on pipe networks, which I had only limited experience with. My own fluid dynamics background was mostly external aerodynamics and heat transfer.

I was initially told the interview would not be very technical, but the session ended up being technical the entire time, which felt misleading. I also felt like the interviewer hadn’t fully read my resume. I wasn’t selected, and the mismatch between what was promised and what I actually faced really stuck with me.
