Tesla Software Engineer interview experience

Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I had an engineering interview process kick off when a recruiter reached out, but there was no follow-up after that.

The most memorable part of the experience was how the thread just stopped.

There wasn’t a full journey to narrate—no sequence of rounds that continued or any clear next step. Instead, it was the frustrating disconnect between initial outreach and the lack of movement afterward.

My reflection was simple: even when you’re in the right lane with an initial recruiter signal, the process can still stall, leaving you with uncertainty and an incomplete sense of where you stood.
