Tesla Software Engineer interview experience

Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I was in the middle of interviewing for a high voltage validation engineering role at Tesla.

At the time, I was still attending the process, so I didn’t have the full arc—just the fact that the role itself was centered on high voltage validation.

Even with limited specifics, the role focus was distinct enough that it shaped how I thought about the interview: it was about verification work in a safety-critical technical domain.

I didn’t capture the exact questions asked, but I remember the overall stage being ongoing and the process feeling oriented around validating high voltage systems rather than general software engineering.
