California City, CAPosted Aug 2025 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My internship interview process followed the typical structure I expected: application screening first, then a recruiter phone screen, and then one or more technical interviews.

The technical portion sometimes included coding, engineering topics, or case-based questions, and it occasionally ended with a final team interview.

Across the rounds, the emphasis felt consistent—innovation, problem-solving, and alignment with Tesla’s mission. Even when the questions varied, the theme stayed steady, and it felt like the process was designed to understand how I thought rather than just whether I could answer one narrow question.
