I went through a fairly structured, three-stage process for a software engineering role focused on gameplay.

A senior programmer interview kicked things off, then a lead programmer followed, and the final step was an HR conversation. The whole loop stretched to about three weeks.

The interviews felt like they were checking both technical depth and how I thought through problems with people who had more experience. I don’t remember it dragging on with lots of small extra steps; it was more like the process moved stage by stage toward HR, which made the pace feel predictable even though it wasn’t fast.
