San Diego, CAPosted Aug 2015 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I went into the process expecting a phone interview with the Director of Engineering, and the setup made it sound like the role was for a manager.

When the call happened, there were two interviewers—one on the management side and another lead engineer—and it quickly felt like they were actually hiring for a more senior engineering profile rather than a manager.

Even though the tone stayed professional and the conversation focused on the usual fit and background topics, the mismatch between what was advertised and who joined the call was noticeable enough to throw me off. I didn’t get an offer, and the end feeling was that the process’s communication about the role was less consistent than I expected.
