After applying in December, I got a call in February asking if I was still interested.

Shortly after, I was invited to an assessment centre. The day started with a brief introduction to the company and its policies, then shifted into a presentation about one of their projects where I was encouraged to ask questions and contribute input.

Next came a written exercise with a technical question that also asked me to write a method statement. The final part was a one-to-one interview where I discussed that written work, then we moved into a review of my CV and competency-style questions, plus what I knew about the company and the industry.

Overall, it felt like an assessment
