My interview was virtual and focused on technical discussion tied to a specific domain.

The role seemed automotive-oriented, and my domain was native app development, which created a mismatch for me.

I went through the rounds and answered in good faith, but I couldn’t clear it. Even though the experience was still described positively while it was happening, the final result made it clear that the domain fit mattered a lot. I left with the honest reflection that having knowledge in one area wasn’t enough when the role expected depth in a different one.
