Tata Consultancy Services (North America) Software Engineer interview experience

I went through a setup where the interviews happened back-to-back, and the questions stayed fairly close to fundamentals—arrays, programming basics, and how I explained my thinking. I remember one stretch that was heavily about how I communicated while solving, because even when the questions were simple on paper, the interviewer still cared about the way I reasoned.

There were moments that threw me off in terms of phrasing and structure. At one point, I was asked to write a SQL query (specifically a self join) without any clear context like the table details or a well-scaffolded question.
