T. Rowe Price Software Engineer interview experience

After I completed it, I had a phone screening where the focus shifted from coding to the company itself—talking through the role and what they were doing.

The coding part set the tone and felt like the main filter, while the phone screen felt more like orientation and conversation rather than a deep dive into algorithms. I didn’t end up getting an offer after that stage.

Looking back, the process felt concise: solve the challenge, then have a brief call. My reflection was that the real evaluation was the coding challenge, and the next step didn’t change the direction of the decision for me.
