Synopsys Software Engineer interview experience

No offer

Neutral

AustraliaPosted Sep 2022 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My interview experience felt polite and well-mannered, with a respectable interviewer and nothing overtly negative.

The process itself didn’t drag or feel hostile.

The only part that really threw me off was a prompt that didn’t seem to make sense: I was asked to write something in terms of word count, but the way it was framed felt odd and annoying. I didn’t have much to add beyond what I thought was necessary, and I felt like the conversation was mostly constrained by that strange direction.

Even with that awkward moment, the overall vibe stayed respectful and calm. I didn’t end up with an offer, but the lack of negativity made the rejection feel more like a mismatch than any kind of conflict.
