I interviewed for what was described as an entry-level position, and the whole experience felt encouraging from the start.

The interviewers had deep analog design experience—over twenty years at a major semiconductor company—and the questions were aimed at fundamentals and how interested I really was in the role.

They grilled me on control theory, circuit theory, device physics, integrated circuits, and signals and systems. Since I’d taken digital electronics in university, they also asked me some questions there to see how my background connected.

It was an enjoyable process overall, and I got an offer. What stuck with me was how grounded the questioning was in real fundamentals instead of vague prompts.
