Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My process started with a phone interview that moved fast and stayed very problem-focused.

The interviewer presented two coding problems. For the first one, I got to a solution quickly using a map-based approach for searching, and once I had working code the interviewer asked for an optimization. I tried switching to something closer to binary search to speed up locating the boundary element, but I ran into boundary issues and my result wasn’t fully bug-free. Even so, the interviewer seemed okay with how I was thinking and asked me to move on.

The second problem was essentially stack simulation: support push and pop, then add an extra operation that increased values in the bottom
