I started with an HR call, and then moved into back-to-back conversations with a hiring manager and the technical lead.

Those later interviews felt pretty straightforward and genuinely friendly, with mostly basic questions that stayed grounded in practical engineering work.

What stood out to me was how they probed fundamentals—things like whether I could parse XML, and questions that touched on tools and concepts such as what SailPoint is. After that, I didn’t hear anything immediately; it took a few weeks before HR reached back out.

Overall the process felt calm and well-paced, and the only real “wait” was the quiet period afterward before I got the HR follow-up.
